License Import / Export

When troubleshooting licensing issues, PTV Technical Support will request a license context (RaC) file.  If any updates need to be applied to the license directly, PTV Technical Support will provide a modified context file (RaU).  This guide will outline the process for both exporting and importing these files through the CodeMeter Control Center.

 

RaC License File Export

1. Log onto the computer that contains the CodeMeter (CM) Stick.

2. Open the Codemeter Control Center application.

3. Press the License Update button.

4. Select Next.

5. Select Create License Request and press Next.

6. Select Extend Existing License and press Next.

7. Check PTV AG (100321) and press Next.

8. Select a location to save the RaC file and press Commit.

9. Select Finish.

10.  The RaC file can then be located in the saved directory and sent to PTV Technical Support.

RaU License File Import

1. Log onto the computer that contains the CodeMeter (CM) Stick.

2. Open the Codemeter Control Center application.

3. Press the License Update button.

4. Select Next.

5. Select Import License Update and press Next.

6. Select the location where the RaU file is located and press Commit.

7. Once the update is successful, select OK.

8. Select Finish.
